Preaching in Leova Prison.
Leova is a city, approximiately 92 km southwest of the national capital, Chișinău. The city is situated on the east bank of the river Prut bordering Romania.
The economy of Leova has seen significant increases in alcoholism, drug abuse and deaths from curable diseases, this once vibrant city is seeing a big decline in population. Birth rates are down and, as with many areas of Moldova, many people have left the country and/or working abroad.
Christian service in Leova Prison.
The decision to hold regular christian services in the Prison is a welcome interlude for the inmates as conditions are cramped and poor and, in general, inmates with infectious diseases, such as AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, are not separated from other inmates.
